# Can I delete an open loan?

An open loan involved in the current or previous pay runs cannot be deleted. However, if the loan payment does not have any associated perquisites, then you can revert the pay runs in which the loan payment is present and delete the open loan.   To delete:

*   Go to the **Loans** module.
*   Select the employee for whom you want to delete the loan.
*   Click the **More** icon and select **Delete Loan**.
*   Select **Yes** to confirm that you want to delete the loan.
