Describe your current role in the organization.
I help manage the mid-market sales team. Zoho has a strategic goal to acquire clients that are in the middle markets, where small business has been our bread and butter for 20+ years. I use my experience to guide the sales team in their conversations with prospects. I help deliver on the sales strategy, support the team operationally, assist with RFP responses, and generally engage in more complex and dynamic sales interactions.
What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?
While I appreciate lofty long-term goals and our company’s visionary approach to software and the larger communities that we serve, I identify as “the worker-bee” rather than a “queen bee.” I’ve always appreciated Zoho’s culture of small teams and open doors. Small teams allow us to collaborate and move dynamically from region to region. What works in one part of the world, doesn’t always work in another. Our regional sales team functions as part of the larger sales operation, but with the autonomy to execute in a way that our region demands. Open doors allow our front line teams to work with our management teams. It’s nice that we have a culture of sharing ideas from top to bottom, and ultimately getting the work done.
What were the highest and lowest points of your journey with Zoho?
The highest points at Zoho have been outside of the office and with the team. I’ve really enjoyed times at our team building events, holiday parties, and trips to Chennai. The work is always there, but the good times with the team are the highs that come to mind when I think about Zoho. I can’t think of any low points.

What are your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?
I enjoy traveling, soccer, and working on cars. I used to play a lot of soccer, but now that I’m older, I’ve been forced into retirement. Now the only soccer I get is watching my teams, Manchester United and Austin FC, and coaching or watching my children. I have a few old cars that I like to tinker on. Working on and driving old cars wasn’t something I was raised with, but with some help from YouTube and constant learning over the years, I’ve managed to bring several old cars back from the dead and into my “fleet.” Getting my Jeeps out and seeing America with an off-road lens is something our family really enjoys, too.
Words of Wisdom
One of my favorite quotes of all time: “Some people go to sleep at night and dream of the life that they want, others, wake up every day and work for it.” ~Unknown
We can only control our attitudes and our effort, so show up each day with a smile, ready to work. Your team will appreciate it.
