How do I delete my bank account in Zoho Books?
Prerequisites:
- Uncategorize and Unmatch all categorized and matched transactions.
- Exclude all other transactions linked to the bank account.
- Delete any Transaction Rule that link this bank account to another account.
To delete a bank account:
- Go to Banking on the left sidebar and select the account you want to delete.
- Click the Gear icon at the top right corner and select Delete from the dropdown.
- Click Delete it in the pop-up to confirm the deletion.
Once you complete these steps, your bank account will be deleted.
Protip: If you do not want to access a bank account, you can mark the bank account inactive instead of permanently deleting it.
To mark a bank account inactive:
- Go to Banking on the left sidebar and select the bank account you want to mark as inactive.
- Click the Gear icon at the top right corner and select Mark as Inactive from the dropdown.
- Click Mark as Inactive in the pop-up that appears to confirm marking the account as inactive.
Once you complete these steps, you can mark the account as inactive.
