Go to **Reports** from the left sidebar, then select **Payments Received** from the _Report Category_ list. * * * ### Payments Received The Payments Received report shows all payments recorded against customer invoices during a selected period - including the payment number, date, customer name, payment method, invoice amount, and any unused amount. Use it to reconcile cash receipts and identify unapplied credit balances. **Scenario:** Bailey at Zylker Inc is reconciling the bank statement at month end. She runs the Payments Received report for the month to match each payment against its invoice and identify any unapplied amounts that need to be allocated. To generate this report: * Go to **Reports** from the left sidebar. * Select **Payments Received** from the _Report Category_ list. * Click **Payments Received**. * Set a **Date Range** and any additional filters, then click **Run Report**. This report includes the following columns: * **PAYMENT NUMBER**: Unique reference number of the payment record. * **DATE**: Date on which the payment was received. * **STATUS**: Current status of the payment record. * **REFERENCE NUMBER**: Additional reference (e.g., cheque number, bank transfer reference). * **CUSTOMER NAME**: Name of the customer who made the payment. * **PAYMENT MODE**: Method of payment (e.g., Cash, Bank Transfer, Cheque). * **NOTES**: Internal notes added to the payment record. * **INVOICE#**: Invoice number against which the payment was applied. * **DEPOSIT TO**: Bank account or fund to which the payment was deposited. * **AMOUNT (FCY)**: Payment amount in the foreign currency of the customer. * **UNUSED AMOUNT (FCY)**: Unapplied payment balance in foreign currency. * **AMOUNT (BCY)**: Payment amount in your base currency. * **UNUSED AMOUNT (BCY)**: Unapplied payment balance in your base currency. * **PLACE OF SUPPLY**: Place of supply for tax compliance purposes, if applicable. * * * ### Credit Note Details The Credit Note Details report shows all credit notes issued to customers during a selected period - including the credit note number, date, customer name, amount, and the amount applied against invoices. Use it to track issued credits and verify that credits have been applied correctly. To generate this report: * Go to **Reports** from the left sidebar. * Select **Payments Received** from the _Report Category_ list. * Click **Credit Note Details**. * Set a **Date Range** and any additional filters, then click **Run Report**. This report includes the following columns: * **STATUS**: Current status of the credit note (e.g., Open, Closed). * **CREDIT DATE**: Date on which the credit note was issued. * **CREDIT NOTE#**: Unique reference number of the credit note. * **CREDITNOTE ID**: Internal system identifier for the credit note. * **CUSTOMER NAME**: Name of the customer to whom the credit was issued. * **CREDIT NOTE AMOUNT**: Total value of the credit note. * **BALANCE AMOUNT**: Remaining unapplied credit balance on the note. * * * ### Refund History The Refund History report shows all refunds processed for customers during a selected period - including the refund amount, associated credit note or payment, refund date, and payment method used. Use it to verify that all approved refunds were processed and to audit refund activity. To generate this report: * Go to **Reports** from the left sidebar. * Select **Payments Received** from the _Report Category_ list. * Click **Refund History**. * Set a **Date Range** and any additional filters, then click **Run Report**. This report includes the following columns: * **DATE**: Date on which the refund was processed. * **REFERENCE#**: Reference number for the refund transaction. * **TRANSACTION#**: Reference number of the original payment or credit note associated with the refund. * **CUSTOMER NAME**: Name of the customer who received the refund. * **MODE**: Payment method used to process the refund (e.g., Bank Transfer, Cheque, Cash). * **NOTES**: Internal notes added to the refund record. * **AMOUNT (FCY)**: Refund amount in the customer’s foreign currency. * **AMOUNT (BCY)**: Refund amount in your base currency. * * * For outstanding customer balances and invoice-level details, see [Receivables Reports](/us/inventory/help/reports/receivables-reports.html).
