What are the pre-requisites to download the mobile app?

Our mobile app helps you to access your organizational employee directory, do instant check-in and check-out, log time at once, apply for leave and approve or reject leave with a tap of your finger.

The app

  • is compatible with all iPhone mobiles that support iOS 6.0 or later
  • is compatible with all Android mobiles that support Android 3.1 or later
  • Needs an App Store to download iPhone app and Google Play Store account to download Android Mobile App

Note: You cannot check-in or check-out outside the specific network range if IP restriction is enabled for your organization.

How do I install the mobile app?

Zoho People app is freely available in App Store and Google Play Store. You can install Zoho People mobile application in your iPhone by following the steps given below. 

To install the app on iPhone:

  • Download and Install the Zoho People application from App Store within iPhone
  • Download Zoho People through App Store and synchronize with your iPhone
  • Visit App Store
  • Type Zoho People and search
  • Tap to open the Zoho People application
  • Tap Free and Install APP

The application will get installed on your iPhone. Once the installation is completed, open the application and log in with your Zoho People Username and Password to check-in.

To install Zoho People in Android device:

  • Visit Google Play Store
  • Type Zoho People
  • Tap to open the Zoho People application
  • Tap Download and Accept & Download

The application will get installed on your Android device. Once the installation is completed, open the application and log in with your Zoho People Username and Password to check-in.

Using the mobile app you can do the following:

  • Do check-in and check-out
  • View total hours logged weekly and monthly in a single screen
  • View notifications in feeds 
  • Search colleagues' information
  • View departments of your organization
  • Call, text and email colleagues
  • Mark and View favorites
  • View birthday buddies list
  • Use the time tracker
  • Apply leave
  • Approve or reject requests

How do I check in and check out from my mobile?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • To check-in, just drag your picture to the right of the screen (on to the chair)
  • To check-out, just drag your picture to the left of the screen (back to your home)

To prevent any misuse, you can set IP restriction and control employees from marking attendance outside the specific IP range.

How do I look up for colleagues' information?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • In the Search box, provide name of your colleague and hit Search as shown in the image below or just scroll through the page

You can search for your organizational members by department, name, email ID, blood group and even based on tags.

How can I view the departments in my organization?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Tap on the search icon and tap Departments

All your organizational departments will be listed.

  • Select a department to view its members

How can use my mobile app to communicate with other employees?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Provide Employee Name or Email or Phone
  • Swipe left over the contact name as shown in the image below
  • Tap the respective icon to call, text or email as per your requirement

How can I mark a contact as favorite? How can I view favorites?

A favorite employee is someone you frequently contact in your organization. Simply tap the star on the employee profile to mark it as Favorite. This helps you to avoid repeated searches.

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Type employee name and search
  • Tap the star to mark it as Favorite
  • Swipe left over the contact name and tap the star to mark it as Favorite
  • To view favorites list, go back Home page and tap Favorites

How can I view the birthday buddies list?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Tap Born This Day to view who is celebrating their birthday

Is it possible to track time using the mobile app?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Tap Time Tracker and tap + icon on the left to add job and log time
  • Provide New Job Name or you can select from the existing jobs
  • Provide What are you working on
  • Tap Hours, Start & End and Start Timer and select the required hours and the time period required for the work
  • Swipe ON/OFF to select either billable or non-billable and provide description if needed
  • Tap icon at the top right corner of Log Time and a message appears Time log entry added successfully

Can I apply leave using the mobile app?

  • Open the Zoho People application on your iPhone/iPad or Android device
  • Tap Time-off
  • Select your leave type
  • Tap on the specific leave type, tap on the calendar to select From date and To date and provide Reason for leave
  • Tap icon at the top right corner to apply for leave successfully

Note: You can also apply for half-day and hour-based leave type.
